OUR BROKER:
We are pleased to offer health benefits to all employees through an arrangement with Blue Choice & Blue Shield of SC.
This arrangement involves the purchase of individual coverage through our system, which you will control, but which will be paid for by convenient payroll deductions through Greenville Literacy Assoc.. You may elect to cover yourself, and eligible family members (spouse and children under 26), and all plans are fully insured by BCBS of SC, are guaranteed issue, and cover pre-existing conditions immediately. Most participants are eligible for gov't subsidies which lower the cost of coverage and out of pocket expenses (deductible, copays, etc). You may tailor your coverage to fit your own personal needs. Dental and Vision coverage is available through our group plan with Total HR.
We have partnered with Resource Equity Group, a Greenville based employee benefits firm, to put together all of your options, determine the timing of your eligibility, obtain premium subsidies, process enrollments, and provide ongoing administration, customer service and assistance.
While open enrollment for 2025 has ended, some will qualify for a special enrollment or change, due to loss of coverage, marriage, childbirth, etc.
